🏗️ Septic System Installation

New and replacement septic systems, from conventional trenches to engineered systems.

A new or replacement septic system starts with a county soil and site evaluation and a permit. Once the permit is issued, a licensed installer builds the system to the permit's design. Conventional gravity systems are the most common. Sites with poor soils, a high water table or slopes may need pump-to-drip, low-pressure pipe, mound or other engineered systems.

How licensing works in our launch states

  • North Carolina: Installers are certified by the NC On-Site Wastewater Contractors and Inspectors Certification Board at levels I through IV. Higher levels may install more complex systems.
  • Georgia: The Georgia Department of Public Health certifies septic installer companies, and they may work statewide.
  • Tennessee: TDEC issues installer permits that are valid statewide. Some contract counties may require an additional local permit.
  • South Carolina: SC DES licenses installers in tiers.
